Continuum Rope is a linear LED pendant for the Continuum 24V track system. It comes in two lengths, 40 and 78 inches, in a White and Black finish.

The Design Story

This is the long-format pendant in the Continuum line. The 40 inch version measures 39.25 inches and the 78 inch version measures 78.5 inches, both 1.25 inches wide, and the body material is listed as silica gel. The cord is listed at 8 inches. In ET2's photos the white rope hangs as a soft U between two black track connectors, one at each end.

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to replace. The 40 inch version gives 600 lumens for 12 watts and the 78 inch version gives 1000 lumens for 20 watts, both at 3000K with a CRI of 90. Both dim and have a 35,000 hour rated life.

It is rated for dry locations, so it belongs indoors. Choose the 40 inch length for a shorter run over a table or desk, and the 78 inch length for a long wall, hallway or counter.

Which Rope length should I choose?

Choose by the space and the power budget. The 40 inch version is 39.25 inches long and draws 12W. The 78 inch version is 78.5 inches long and draws 20W. It needs a Continuum track and a 24V driver, and both are sold separately. ET2 lists two 96W drivers, one that plugs onto the track and one that is installed remotely and hard-wired. Add up the wattage of everything on the run and keep the total under the driver's 96W.
