Nora Recessed Lights
Clean ceilings start with the right recessed light. Nora makes the full system: housings, trims, LED retrofits and canless downlights. Each page here spells out what fits what, so ordering is simple even if you are not an electrician.
Shop by Type
- Nora Recessed Cans & Housings: the hidden can your electrician installs first
- Nora Recessed Trims & Retrofit Kits: the finish you see, or an LED kit for the cans already in your ceiling
- Nora Canless LED Downlights: ultra-thin lights with no can required
- Nora Recessed Light Parts & Accessories: the small parts that make a clean, trimless or custom install possible
Choosing in 4 Steps
- Do you have cans already? Yes: get a retrofit. No: get a housing + trim or a canless light.
- Choose the size that suits the room.
- Going into insulation? Pick IC rated.
- Pick the finish and warmth of light you like.
Questions We Hear Most
How do Nora recessed lights work?
A recessed light is either two parts (a housing above the ceiling and a trim you see) or one piece: an LED retrofit for an existing can, or a can-less downlight. Each Nora page tells you which parts you need.
Can I upgrade my old cans to LED?
Yes. Nora LED retrofits slip into existing 4", 5" or 6" cans and connect through the old bulb socket, so you get dimmable LED without opening the ceiling.
Which size should I choose?
4" suits most rooms and hallways, 5" and 6" give a wider spread for kitchens and living areas, and 1"–2" pinhole styles are for accent lighting (our guide).
