KUON Takaoka Brass Bells, Incense & Candle Holders
KUON — a calm sky, cast in Takaoka.
The Story
Yotsukawa Seisakusho has worked copper in Takaoka’s old foundry district since 1946. KUON is its quieter side: bells to begin a meditation, holders for incense and candlelight, shaped and finished by hand with the town’s specialist artisans.
The Collection
- Madoka Dongurin Meditation Bell by KUON: a pocket-sized acorn that rings
- Madoka Tomoshibi Candle Holder by KUON: a small flame in brass
- Madoka Kaori Incense Holder by KUON: for a stick or a cone
- Tone Rinko Incense Burner & Orin by KUON: incense and a bell in one
- Tone Rin Orin Bell by KUON: the clearest tone in the range

Questions We Hear Most
What does KUON mean?
空穏: “calm sky”.
Are KUON pieces handmade?
Yes, in Takaoka, so each finish is slightly different.
How do I clean KUON brass?
A soft dry cloth after use (our advice); skip scouring pads and metal polish, which can scratch the finish.

The Madoka Dongurin acorn bell (our advice): small, cheerful and easy to place anywhere.
Is trade pricing available for spas or yoga studios?
Yes, through the LoftModern Trade Program.
