SUBU — a sandal for January.
The Story
In Japan, shoes come off at the door and sandals go on for a quick trip outside. SUBU, founded in Tokyo in 2016, made that sandal warm: quilted, lined and cushioned, with a sole made for the street.

Questions We Hear Most
Are SUBU sandals warm enough for winter?
That is the point: a quilted upper, brushed lining and four-layer insole.
Socks or barefoot?
Either; the lining is soft enough to wear barefoot.
Is the Nannen good for camping?
Yes. Its flame-retardant CORDURA upper is made for life around a fire pit.
How do I clean them?
A gentle machine cycle, then dry flat.
Is trade pricing available?
Yes, through the LoftModern Trade Program.
