teúkhō works with one extraordinary material: fossil oak, wood that has waited thousands of years in Italian riverbeds. Shaped by hand in Friuli into clean, contemporary forms, every piece carries a story no other object can.
The Collection
The Lambda lamp draws light as a wave in solid fossil wood, in Black, Brown and Black/Brown. In-stock pieces typically leave within 2–3 business days.
Questions We Hear Most
Who is behind teúkhō?
The Garzitto family, a historic name in timber in Friuli, Italy. Their studio pairs ancient fossil oak with contemporary design and artisan craft.
What makes fossil oak so special?
Oak trunks that fell into rivers thousands of years ago slowly mineralized under sand and gravel, turning harder and darker without becoming stone. Teukho dates its woods with Carbon-14 testing.
What is the Lambda lamp?
A single wave of fossil wood lit by a warm, touch-dimmable LED line, designed by Luca Degano. It comes in Black, Brown and Black/Brown.
Why choose a Teukho piece for a modern home?
It brings real natural history into a clean, minimal room: no two pieces are alike, and no tree was felled to make one.
