Nyta Adjustable Lighting

Nyta — lights you can steer, designed in Germany and made in Europe.

The Story

In 2012 designer Fabian Maier and architects Johannes Marmon and Johannes Müller started Nyta to make lighting that is clever in use and calm in form. Tilt came first and is still the heart of the collection: a shade that pivots and spins on its cable, a reflector you aim by hand. Nyta designs almost everything in its own studio, and honors such as Chicago’s Good Design Award and the German Design Award (both 2015) followed.

Questions We Hear Most

What makes Nyta’s Tilt special?

The shade moves. Its oblong opening lets it pivot up to 125° and spin 360°, so one light can serve the table, the wall or the sofa.

Brass or matte?

Matte aluminium is light and quiet in black, white or grey; solid brass is warmer and develops a soft patina over time.

Big Tilt or small Tilt Globe?

The 28 cm Tilt fills a dining table with light; the 20 cm Tilt Globe suits bedsides, entries and clusters.

Where are Nyta lights made?

Nyta designs in Germany and manufactures in Europe.

Can designers get trade pricing on Nyta?

Yes, through the LoftModern Trade Program, with up to 20% off retail on eligible brands.
