The Design Story

Nyta began in Germany in 2012, when designer Fabian Maier and architects Johannes Marmon and Johannes Müller set out to make lights that are smart in use and quiet in form. The team still designs almost everything in-house and builds it in Europe, close to its partners. Tilt is the idea that put Nyta on the map: a shade that works as a reflector you can steer by hand. Among the honors Nyta lists are Chicago’s Good Design Award and the German Design Award, both in 2015.
