The Design Story
The Gimbal Optic is the Gimbal version of the Optic head. It is 1 inch wide and 2.25 inches high and is made of aluminum and polycarbonate. ET2's line drawing shows a 0 to 45 degree tilt and beam diagrams of 24 and 36 degrees.
Why You’ll Love It
The 5 inch head delivers 450 lumens at 6 watts and the 9 inch head delivers 675 lumens at 9 watts. That is more than the Gimbal Flat at each length. Color temperature is 3000K, CRI is 90 and the integrated LED is rated for 50,000 hours.
Made for Real Life
The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match. Wipe the finish with a soft damp cloth and skip abrasive or solvent cleaners.

How does the Gimbal Optic compare with the Gimbal Flat?
Both are 2.25 inches high and 1 inch wide, with the same 6 and 9 watt draws. The Gimbal Optic lists 450 and 675 lumens, and the Gimbal Flat lists 300 and 450. ET2's drawings show a 110 degree beam for the Gimbal Flat and 24 and 36 degree beam diagrams for the Gimbal Optic.
How big is the Continuum Gimbal Optic head?

How much light does the Continuum Gimbal Optic head give?

ET2 lists the dimming as Triac. Send us your dimmer or driver model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.
Can the LED in the Continuum Gimbal Optic head be replaced?
The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source with a rated life of 50,000 hours.
Where can I install the Continuum Gimbal Optic head?
It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it indoors and out of any space exposed to rain or direct water. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
