TR19 Pendant by Tom Rossau — a white paper sculpture of spiraling strips that gives clean, calm light.
Coated Japanese paper diffuses the bulb into smooth, even light, and its whiteness makes the spiral of the lamellas crisp and graphic.
The Design Story
Introduced in 2011, the TR19 applies Tom Rossau’s twisted-strip technique to coated Japanese paper, which lets the shape close in more tightly around the bulb. The result is a calmer, more architectural cousin of the birch TR5. The studio began with an experiment: Tom Rossau pressed thin strips of wood into a cylinder to see how they would bend, and the harder he pressed, the more expressive the shape became. That experiment became the TR5 in 2005, and every lamp since has followed the same idea of flat material coaxed into sculpture, built by hand in Copenhagen.
Why You’ll Love It
It is light, bright and quietly sculptural, at home in Japandi, Scandinavian and minimalist rooms. Three sizes let you scale it from a small kitchen to a large dining table.
Made for Real Life
The 15.75" suits a table for four; the 20.9" a larger table (our advice). It takes one standard E26 bulb. It pairs beautifully with the TR5 Pendant, ST906 Pendant and TR31 Pendant.

Questions We Hear Most
How is the TR19 different from the TR5?

Does the paper pendant suit a Japandi interior?
Perfectly: the white paper and handmade strips sit naturally with light wood, linen and stone.
Can I group TR19 pendants?
Yes, three sizes together over a long table look wonderful.
When was the TR19 designed?
Tom Rossau introduced the TR19 in 2011.
When will my TR19 pendant be delivered?
In-stock options leave our US warehouse in about 3 business days. Anything else is built by hand for you in Copenhagen, which takes about 10 weeks (70 days).
