Peter Maly Fireplace Screen Base is the steel foundation of Peter Maly's glass spark guard.
A low, precise stainless steel base, 19.3 inches wide. It is sold on its own, without the glass panel.
The Design Story
Peter Maly, one of Europe's most influential furniture designers, gave Conmoto a spark guard that is almost invisible: a clear panel standing in a slim steel foot. This listing is that foot.
Why You'll Love It
- It is the original Conmoto base, not a generic substitute.
- The low profile keeps the hearth visually clean.
- Brushed stainless steel matches other Peter Maly fireplace pieces.
- Simple, solid and made in Germany.
Made for Real Life
Set it on the hearth, seat the panel, and wipe the steel occasionally. That is the whole routine.

Questions We Hear Most
What's in the box when I order the Peter Maly Fireplace Screen Base?
The order includes the stainless steel screen base only. The glass panel is not included and is not currently offered by our distributor.
Will the Peter Maly Fireplace Screen Base fit my fireplace area?
It measures 19.3" W × 6" D × 4.8" H (49 × 15 × 12 cm). These are the distributor's dimensions for the base alone.
What is the design story behind the Peter Maly Fireplace Screen Base?
It comes from Peter Maly for the German design house Conmoto and is produced in Germany.
How do I keep the Peter Maly Fireplace Screen Base looking new?
Our tip, since the distributor publishes no care guide: a barely damp cloth and then a dry one keep the steel bright; a stainless polish takes care of marks and fingerprints.
When will my Peter Maly Fireplace Screen Base leave the warehouse?
In-stock orders typically leave within 2–3 business days, and we keep pricing and stock matched to the US distributor.
Does the Peter Maly base come with glass?
No. It is the base only. The glass panel is not included and is not currently available from our distributor.
Why We Love It
Good design deserves original parts. This keeps a Maly screen looking exactly as intended.
