Original BTC Magnus S2 Linear Pendant is a pendant light and made in England by the Oxfordshire lighting house founded by Peter Bowles in 1990.
Wired for North America (120V AC).
The Design Story
Each Magnus shade is mouth-blown in Oxfordshire from fine raw materials using traditional techniques, then set on a slim blackened bronze frame. Each shade is blown by hand in Original BTC’s Oxfordshire glassworks, part of a glassmaking business it rescued in 2011 to keep the craft in Britain.
Why You’ll Love It
Opal glass gives soft, even light with no glare, and the dark frame draws a crisp line through the room. Handmade glass gives every shade small variations and a depth of color that machine-made glass can’t match.
Made for Real Life
An electrician connects it to a ceiling box. You choose the drop at installation. Let it cool, then wipe the glass with a soft cloth. Tiny bubbles or shifts in tone are the marks of hand-blown glass.
