Global Alphabet Blocks in 5 Scripts by Tibor Kalman — They make a point without saying a word: five writing systems side by side, equally at home.
An authorized IC Design edition of a 1991 design.
The Design Story
Tibor Kalman ran M&Co., the New York studio he named for his wife Maira, and was often called the conscience of graphic design. In 1991 he and Scott Stowell put five alphabets on one set of toy blocks, a quiet statement that every script deserves a place in the same box.
Why You’ll Love It
They make a point without saying a word: five writing systems side by side, equally at home. On a shelf they are graphic and colorful; in a game they start conversations about letters and languages.
Made for Real Life
A dry cloth is all they need; keep them away from water (our tip; no care notes are published). Pair it with Antonio Vitali Maple Duck Pair, Antonio Vitali Wooden Fox Figure, Cy Endfield 1972 Folding Travel Chess Set.
