Artemide Tolomeo Mega Floor Lamp by Michele De Lucchi & Giancarlo Fassina expands the iconic Tolomeo articulated-arm design into a large-scale floor lamp capable of reaching over sofas, sectionals, lounge chairs and work areas. Its combination of precision engineering, extensive adjustability and multiple diffuser options makes the Mega an exceptionally versatile statement light for contemporary interiors.
Fully adjustable extruded-aluminum arms are balanced by polished die-cast aluminum joints, tension-control knobs and stainless-steel tension cables. The long articulated structure allows the shade to move inward over a seating area while the weighted floor base remains positioned beside or behind the furniture.
Unlike the integrated-LED Tolomeo Mega models, this version uses a replaceable E26 medium-base lamp, giving you greater flexibility when choosing the bulb. An on-cord control provides convenient operation, while multiple shade sizes and finish combinations make it possible to select the scale and appearance best suited to the room.
Why Choose the Tolomeo Mega Floor Lamp?
- Exceptional adjustable reach: The articulated structure positions light over sofas, sectionals, lounge chairs and large work areas.
- Three diffuser sizes: Choose approximately 12", 14" or 17" shades to suit the scale of the interior.
- Multiple finish combinations: Available configurations include Parchment, Silver/Grey Fiber and Black diffuser options with aluminum or black structures.
- Replaceable E26 bulb: Select a compatible bulb according to your preferred light output and color temperature.
- Adjustable illumination: Reposition the articulated arms and diffuser as furniture arrangements or lighting needs change.
- Made in Italy: Part of Artemide's celebrated Tolomeo family by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina.
Choose the Right Tolomeo Mega Size
The Tolomeo Mega is offered with three diffuser sizes. The approximately 12.6-inch shade has the lightest visual presence, the 14.2-inch version provides a balanced middle scale, and the approximately 16.5-inch shade creates the strongest statement for large rooms and expansive seating arrangements.
| Diffuser Size | Approx. Shade Dimensions | Maximum Height | Maximum Extension |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12" | 12.6" Dia × 8.7" H | 128.75" | 73.25" |
| 14" | 14.2" Dia × 9.9" H | 129.9" | 74.8" |
| 17" | 16.5" Dia × 11.4" H | 131.5" | 77.2" |
Designed to Reach Over Sofas and Sectionals
The Mega's extended articulated structure is one of its biggest advantages over a conventional upright floor lamp. Depending on the selected size and adjustment, the arm can extend more than six feet from the base, allowing the shade to reach inward over a sofa or sectional while keeping the weighted base outside the primary seating area.
This makes the Tolomeo Mega especially useful in large living rooms, lofts, lounge areas, executive offices and hospitality interiors. Its multiple adjustment points also provide greater positioning flexibility than a fixed arc floor lamp.
