Original BTC Mast Light is a indoor/outdoor wall light and made in England by the Oxfordshire lighting house founded by Peter Bowles in 1990.
Wired for North America (120V AC).
The Design Story
Born on a yacht mast, this small cast light now works as an accent or path light on walls inside and out, in bronze or aluminium finishes. Davey Lighting began in the shipyards of nineteenth-century London; Original BTC took it on in 2010 to keep it making by hand in England, using techniques some of which date back to London’s East India Docks in the 1880s.
Why You’ll Love It
Small, exact and tough, it puts a marine detail exactly where you want one. These are working lights with a past: honest materials, real ratings for weather, and finishes that look better with age.
Made for Real Life
An electrician wires it to the wall; it is sealed for wet and outdoor spots within its rating. Wipe it down with a soft cloth and skip the metal polish: weathered, raw and galvanised finishes are meant to look lived-in. Near the sea, rinse off salt now and then with fresh water.
