The Design Story

The well glass is a ship’s light: a heavy cast body and a thick glass “well” made to survive salt, wind and rain, now as at home on a bathroom wall as on a harbor wall. Davey Lighting began in the shipyards of nineteenth-century London; Original BTC took it on in 2010 to keep it making by hand in England, using techniques some of which date back to London’s East India Docks in the 1880s.
