Romb Table Lamp by Broberg & Ridderstråle for Pholc — a stack of rippled shapes that tricks the eye and warms the room.
As interesting in a living room as in a hotel lobby, it is a lamp and an artwork at once.
The Design Story
Broberg & Ridderstråle built Romb from an idea born in their studio: corrugated cardboard, which they use for architectural prototypes. Two rippled shapes stacked one on top of the other play tricks on the eye, so a metal lamp seems as light as cardboard.
As much a lamp as it is a design object.
— Mats Broberg
Why You’ll Love It
It makes people want to touch it. The rippled surface catches light and shadow, and Cumin brings a warm, spicy color while Cotton stays soft and pale.
Made for Real Life
Plug it in; the bulb is included and dims with the cord switch. It sits beautifully alongside the Romb cordless lamp, Meter cocoon lamp and Turner cocoon pendant.
