Original BTC Blossom Portable Light is a cordless portable lamp and made in England by the Oxfordshire lighting house founded by Peter Bowles in 1990.
Cordless.
The Design Story
Blossom brought Original BTC’s bone china off the wall and the ceiling: it is the company’s first cordless, portable light, built around a modern LED. Every bone china piece is cast in Original BTC’s own Stoke-on-Trent factory, a multi-day process of pouring, drying, hand finishing and firing that gives the material its glow.
Why You’ll Love It
Carry it to the dinner table, the terrace or a bookshelf; the china shade makes the LED light warm and soft. Bone china is the signature of Original BTC: founder Peter Bowles was the first designer to use it for lighting, and it turns a lamp into a soft, translucent source of light.
Made for Real Life
No cord to manage while it is on: set it down wherever you want light. Switch it off, then dust it with a soft cloth or wipe with plain water and dry it well. Treat the shade like fine china, because it is.
