The Design Story

TOV Furniture designs pieces that bring boutique-hotel character into everyday homes, and the Thyme table follows that approach. The material does the talking: cast concrete gives it real heft and a stone-like surface and the travertine look brings a pitted, sun-bleached texture.

Why You'll Love It

At 16.1" it sits low and quiet beside a lounge chair, a bathtub or a bed, out of the way until you need it. Because TOV rates it for indoor and outdoor use, it can summer on the patio and winter beside the sofa. TOV rates the top for 90 lb, so a stack of books or a heavy lamp is no trouble. No tools are involved: it comes out of the box ready to use. Concrete has real weight, so it stays put and reads as a sculptural object rather than a filler piece.

Made for Real Life

The top is rated for 90 lb (TOV), so it is built for daily use, not just for show. Keep it looking fresh: wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap, dry it, and use coasters; concrete is porous, so blot oil or wine right away. Outdoors, bring it under cover or use a cover in freezing weather and heavy rain. Outside, a cover during storms and the off-season helps it last longer.

Where It Shines

It shines in patios, decks and covered porches as well as living rooms, bedrooms and entryways indoors. Set it between two outdoor chairs with a lantern on top, then bring it inside for the winter beside the sofa.
