The Design Story

TOV Furniture designs pieces that bring boutique-hotel character into everyday homes, and the Carmel collection follows that approach. The material does the talking: bouclé has a looped, nubby texture.

Why You'll Love It

The footrest gives your feet somewhere to land, which makes a long coffee at the counter far more comfortable. TOV rates the comfort as medium on its plush-to-firm scale, so you know how the seat will feel before it arrives. A seat 15.5 inches deep gives you room to linger over breakfast or a glass of wine. No tools are involved: it comes out of the box ready to sit in. The upholstery is chosen to cope with everyday spills, which matters at the kitchen counter.

Made for Real Life

Rated for 330 lb, it is built for daily sitting, not just for show. Inside you will find plywood seat support and fiber-wrapped foam cushioning. Keep it looking fresh by blotting spills quickly, vacuuming the upholstery now and then and keeping it out of harsh afternoon sun.

Where It Shines

It shines in kitchen islands, counters and breakfast bars. Line a row along the island with about 28" for each stool, and hang pendants above to tie the look together.
