Braun BC17 Large Wall Clock: a wall clock from the German design house whose watches and clocks were shaped by Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs.

New.

The Design Story

“Good design is as little design as possible” is one of Dieter Rams’s ten principles, and the BC17 is that principle on a wall: a big, clear dial and a second hand that sweeps silently instead of ticking.

Why You’ll Love It

It reads from across the room, and the silent sweep makes it the rare wall clock you can hang in a bedroom. Braun is where so much of modern product design started: Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs drew watches and clocks for the company that still look current half a century later.

Made for Real Life

A soft, dry cloth is all it needs; skip sprays and solvents on the screen or glass, and keep a spare AA handy.
