PILAR Milk Pourer by Nina Thöming for blomus — A small handleless stoneware creamer that holds 9 oz, with a pinched spout for a clean pour.
Part of PILAR, Nina Thöming’s matte-and-glazed stoneware tableware for the German design house blomus.
The Design Story

The smallest pourer in PILAR is the tall pitcher scaled down to the size of a hand. Thöming, born in 1984, trained as an industrial designer and works at Flöz Design in Germany, a studio blomus has relied on for many years. Her method is to study the need before drawing the answer, and PILAR is one of her best-known results, alongside the SONO bath collection.
PILAR plays one idea across the whole table: a velvety matte shell with a glossy glazed lining. The body is stoneware, cast from clay, quartz and minerals and fired hot, so it has more heft than porcelain and none of its translucency. The name is Spanish for pillar or column, a nod to shapes that stack straight and true. Colors run from Moonbeam (soft beige) and Mirage Grey (light gray with a hint of green) to Agave Green (dark and muted) and Pewter (charcoal).
Why You’ll Love It
It is easy to grip, steady on the table and quick to refill. The glazed lining keeps cream from clinging. Next to the coffee cups it completes the set, and at dinner it carries the vinaigrette.
Made for Real Life
Dishwasher and microwave safe, according to blomus. Firing and glazing leave small differences from piece to piece, so no two are exactly alike. Pairs well with the cappuccino cups, tea cups, water jugs.

Does the PILAR milk pourer have a handle?
No. It is a small cylinder you hold in the hand, with a spout pinched into the rim.
What goes with the PILAR milk pourer?
The PILAR cappuccino cups, tea cups and espresso duo.
What makes the PILAR milk pourer matte outside and glossy inside?
The glaze goes where food and drink touch, so it cleans easily; the outside is left matte for a soft, velvety look and feel.

Minimalist, Scandinavian and Japandi kitchens, and any room where muted, earthy color leads.

Why We Love It
Matte outside, glossy inside, and built to stack: PILAR is tableware reduced to what matters. From a small town in Germany’s old steel region, the Blome family has gone from bicycle parts (1921) to metal gifts (1961) to the design label blomus (2000), still family-run in its fourth generation. LoftModern is an authorized blomus retailer.
