Pape is a Besa shade with distinctive ridges, softly radiused to fit contemporary spaces. Glitter is clear blown glass with a crystal coating inside that bends light into prismatic effects (frosted when off, dazzling when on); Opal Ribbed is soft white cased glass blown into a faceted mold and satin-etched for a calm glow. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.
