Braun BC13 Digital Weather Station & Alarm Clock: a weather station alarm clock from the German design house whose watches and clocks were shaped by Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs.
$125, in black, white. New, from Braun’s official US distributor.
The Design Story
The BC13 puts the weather where you’ll see it first thing: on the nightstand, next to the time, with a backlight that comes on by itself in the dark.
Why You’ll Love It
One glance tells you the time, how warm it is outside and whether to bring a coat. Braun is where so much of modern product design started: Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs drew watches and clocks for the company that still look current half a century later.
Made for Real Life
A soft, dry cloth is all it needs; skip sprays and solvents on the screen or glass, and keep a spare AA and AAA handy.
