Metro Folding Umbrella by BLUNT — a bag-sized umbrella that opens with a press and spins off bumps.
The Design Story
BLUNT started in New Zealand with a simple frustration: umbrellas that turn inside out and end up in the bin. Its answer was engineering. Six patented rounded tips sit in pockets at the canopy edge and open like tiny umbrellas, pulling the canopy taut so it holds its shape in wind, and a modular build means parts can be replaced instead of the whole umbrella. BLUNT rates its range to 115 km/h winds.
