The Design Story
Before founding Groundwork Studio in Copenhagen in 2022, Morten Bo Jensen spent 16 years as in-house chief designer at a leading Danish design brand. With Fuse the aim was lights that last through their materials and form: burnished brass, three-layer opal glass and a lid of natural alabaster stone.
Why You’ll Love It
The alabaster lid hides the light source, so you get a warm glow without glare. The materials are genuine, and the natural stone varies slightly from piece to piece. Even switched off, which is most of a lamp’s life, it reads as a small sculpture. The soft, classic shape sits comfortably in both traditional and modern rooms.
Made for Real Life
The textile cord with switch lets it plug in; an electrician can also hardwire it for a cord-free wall. Our tip: switch it off and wipe the brass and glass with a soft cloth; skip harsh or abrasive cleaners.
