KOYOI Martini Glass by Kazushige Miyake for blomus — A mouth-blown martini glass with a wide bowl on a solid, ice-like glass base, 3.7 oz.
Part of KOYOI, Kazushige Miyake’s Japanese-inspired mouth-blown glassware for the German design house blomus.
The Design Story

Miyake turned the cocktail glass upside down in spirit: instead of a tall, tippy stem, a heavy base that looks like ice. Miyake, a Tama Art University graduate who founded his own studio in Japan in 2005, designs by subtraction: no decoration, just the form and the mood it creates. He is an iF, Red Dot and Good Design award winner and now judges two of those competitions.
KOYOI is Japanese for “this evening,” and each glass is a small sculpture for that moment: a clear, mouth-blown bowl resting on a heavy base of solid glass that catches light like ice. The rim is cut and polished, and the blomus logo is cast into the glass with sand.
Why You’ll Love It
No more spilled martinis. The low, wide shape shows off a cocktail’s color and garnish, and the solid base feels luxurious in the hand.
Made for Real Life
Dishwasher safe, according to blomus, which recommends hand washing fine glassware. As with all mouth-blown glass, small flow lines, tiny bubbles or slight differences in thickness can appear. Pairs well with the champagne coupe, digestif glass and prosecco glass.

Questions We Hear Most
What cocktails suit the KOYOI martini glass?
Martinis, Manhattans, daiquiris and any drink served up.
Can I serve dessert in the KOYOI martini glass?
Yes, it makes a pretty dish for mousse, sorbet or berries.
What goes with the KOYOI martini glass?
The KOYOI coupe and liqueur glass on the same bar tray.
Why is the base of the KOYOI martini glass so heavy?
The base is solid glass. It keeps the glass steady and gives it the look of a block of ice, which is the signature of the collection.
Can I mix KOYOI shapes on one tray?
Yes. The prosecco glass, coupe, martini glass and liqueur glass share the same ice-like base, so a mixed set looks deliberate.
What recognition has blomus KOYOI glass series received?

Why We Love It
An ice-clear base and a fine polished rim: KOYOI turns one drink into the event of the evening. From a small town in Germany’s old steel region, the Blome family has gone from bicycle parts (1921) to metal gifts (1961) to the design label blomus (2000), still family-run in its fourth generation. LoftModern is an authorized blomus retailer.
