ILO Bottle Opener by kaschkasch for blomus — A sculptural bottle opener for crown caps in PVD-coated stainless steel, Magnet or Moonbeam.
Part of ILO, the barware tools by the studio kaschkasch for the German design house blomus.
The Design Story
kaschkasch drew the opener as a smooth, flat pebble with a slot, the same soft, carved language as the rest of ILO. kaschkasch, the German duo of Florian Kallus and Sebastian Schneider, has been one of blomus’s most rewarded partners, with a Red Dot for the ANI lamp and a German Design Award Special for the STAY outdoor range.
ILO, Finnish for joy, is wine gear shaped like small sculptures: rounded forms inspired by Japanese wooden crafts, finished in PVD-coated stainless steel in a warm beige (Moonbeam) or deep charcoal (Magnet).
Why You’ll Love It
It is the bottle opener you will not hide in a drawer. The weight and the rounded edges make it pleasant to use, and the color matches the ILO wine tools.
Made for Real Life
Wash by hand and wipe with a damp cloth, as blomus recommends; not for the dishwasher. Pairs well with the stopper and pourer duo, wine tool set and wine pourer.

Why We Love It
Bar tools you leave out on purpose: ILO is as pleasant to hold as it is to look at. From a small town in Germany’s old steel region, the Blome family has gone from bicycle parts (1921) to metal gifts (1961) to the design label blomus (2000), still family-run in its fourth generation. LoftModern is an authorized blomus retailer.
