For Carmine Deganello, a lamp begins with a material and an experiment. Based in Amsterdam and Milan, he has worked with Pablo for years, and his designs have been exhibited at Milan’s Triennale Design Museum and Vienna’s MAK. Founder Pablo Pardo shaped the concept with the team.
The Design Story
Uma was designed for Pablo Designs by Carmine Deganello, a Milan-based experimental product and architectural designer whose work is driven by research into materials, together with founder Pablo Pardo and the Pablo Studio in San Francisco. Their starting point was ancient: the lantern and the campfire, the places people gather. The result fuses warm-dim LED light with high-fidelity 360° sound in a form that feels as natural on a dinner table as by a pool.

The leather strap makes it easy to carry from the kitchen to the terrace, and it looks like a beautiful object even when it is off.

A charge gives up to 8 hours of light and music and takes up to 3.5 hours. It pairs with any Bluetooth device and comes with a protective cotton bag for travel. Use it inside or out on dry evenings.
