ET2 Planetary LED Glass Globe Pendant Light

Planetary is an oversized glass globe with a twisting, ribbed surface. The tint is deepest at the top and fades to clear toward the bottom, and a dome of light glows inside.

The finish is Black. Glass: Amber and Smoke.

The Design Story

ET2 describes Planetary as a galaxy of light, with ribbed and tinted glass in an over-sized spiraling shade, offered in Amber or Smoke, with a dome of light within and Matte Black components. The LED lamps are provided.

Why You’ll Love It

The two tints set the mood. Amber warms the glow and looks like honeyed glass, while Smoke is cooler and quieter and suits white or gray walls. The spiral ribs break the glass into soft diagonal lines, and the gradient keeps a large globe from looking heavy. One globe can anchor a spot, and a pair or trio at staggered heights works over a long table.

Made for Real Life

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match. We suggest a dry microfiber cloth for the finish and no spray cleaners.

This pendant is offered with Smoke or Amber glass, both with a Black frame.

How long is the cord on the Planetary, and can I set the hanging height?

Cord length is 120 in, which gives a maximum overall height of 132 in. The shortest hang is 13 in, so it can work over a low surface as well as in a taller space.

How much light does the Planetary give?

Delivered output is 720 lumens, with a color temperature of 3000K and CRI 90.

Will my dimmer work with it?

ET2 lists the dimming as Triac or ELV at 120V. Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.

Can the LED in the Planetary be replaced?

The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source with a rated life of 50,000 hours.

Where can I install the Planetary?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. The canopy suits sloped ceilings up to 15 degrees. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
