The Design Story
The stem Pape 12 keeps everything that makes it special and puts it on tailored hardware. Assemble the stem sections to the height you want and the swivel canopy lets it hang plumb from a slope. A wide, softly radiused globe with distinctive ridges, in tranquil Opal Ribbed or in Glitter, where a crystal coating inside the clear glass looks frosted when off and sparkles with prismatic light when on. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.
