The Design Story
Cable suspension is the architect’s choice for tall rooms: taut, nearly invisible steel lines that let a shade float. The Pahu 12 version uses three 10-foot aircraft-quality stainless cables with the power cord alongside. A cylinder within a cylinder: soft white opal glass glowing inside a transparent outer glass in Amethyst, Clear, Armagnac, Olive or Smoke. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.
