The Design Story
Nova is a Besa ceiling light built around its glass. White, Carrera or Marble hand-blown glass; Carrera is clear molten glass rolled in white frit and blown into shape, with a semi-clear frosted inner finish and a satin-etched outer layer. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.

How big is the Nova 10?

Is the Nova 10 LED version dimmable?
Yes: the LED is CL dimmable and gives about 800 lumens of warm 3000K light. The bulb version dims with a regular incandescent dimmer.
Is the Nova 10 Carrera glass see-through?
No, it is a soft white glass with a gentle frit texture that hides the lamps and gives an even, white glow.
Can the Nova 10 handle a steamy bathroom?
Yes. It is damp rated for indoor rooms, so bathroom and laundry ceilings are fine; it is not meant for outdoor porches or spots that get sprayed directly.
Could I use the Nova 10 as a wall light?
Yes, indoors: Besa allows wall mounting for interior use, so a Nova on the wall can echo the one on the ceiling.
What does the Nova 10 need for installation?
A standard 4-inch octagonal ceiling box and an electrician: it is hardwired, not plug-in. The install guide is linked above.
