Modulo Wall is a slim wall light with two or three glowing opal domes set on a smoked glass plate, designed by Federico Peri for CTO Lighting of London.
It comes in 2 sizes, Twin and Triple, and 2 finishes: Satin Brass and Bronze, each with smoked kiln glass and matt opal glass.
The Design Story
Modulo was created for CTO Lighting by the Italian designer Federico Peri. It is built on a modular form: glowing domes spaced in linear configurations, with the light reflecting along an elongated, transparent glass disc and the metal frame that carries it.
The Designer: Federico Peri
Federico Peri is an Italian designer. He earned a degree in interior design at IED in Milan, then won a scholarship to an artist residence in Paris, and opened his own studio in 2011. His early years were spent close to metal production. He designed CTO’s Modulo collection, in grid, horizontal, vertical and wall versions.
The Story of CTO Lighting
Chris and Clare Turner founded CTO Lighting in London in 1998 on one principle: design lights of uncompromising quality, using only the finest materials and working with elite British craftsmen. Chris is an engineer who designs and builds with meticulous detail, and Clare brings the eye of fashion. Together they built a name for understated luxury in hand-finished brass, mouth-blown glass and artisan-cut stone, and the collection has gone on to light The Savoy, The Dorchester, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Chiltern Firehouse.
How It Was Made
CTO assembles every light to order. Each smoked glass plate is a kiln-cast piece, handcrafted and textured by artisans, and matt opal glass domes diffuse the light evenly and hide the source. The frame is solid metalwork in antique bronze, bronze or satin brass.
The Finishes
Satin Brass. Warm golden tones and a brushed, satin surface give a soft sheen that feels luxurious but understated. CTO selects the metal for its durability and beauty.
Bronze. Deep, rich color and a robust build bring a touch of historical weight to a modern room, with a warm, inviting glow.
Smoked Kiln Glass. Each smoked glass plate is handcrafted and textured by artisans. The deep smoky color and textured surface reflect and diffuse the light with depth and drama.
Matt Opal Glass. Opal glass has a soft translucency that diffuses the light evenly and hides the bulb.

Made for Real Life
The 110-130V versions have integrated LEDs. CTO’s IP44 version is offered only for 220-240V, and the data sheet for the 110-130V Twin lists IP20, so use it in dry locations. Dust with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth and avoid abrasives.

What do Twin and Triple mean?
CTO names the sizes by the number of glass domes. Twin has two domes and is 17.3 in (440 mm) high. Triple has three domes and is 23.6 in (600 mm) high. Both are 4.7 in (120 mm) wide and 3.1 in (80 mm) deep.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
CTO shows Modulo Wall in a bathroom with its IP44 version, which is offered only for 220-240V. The 110-130V Twin data sheet lists IP20, so the US versions are for dry locations.
What light source does it use?
The 110-130V Twin has an integrated 9W LED at 2700K, and the Triple has an integrated 13.5W LED.
How heavy is it?
The Twin weighs 4.4 lb (2 kg) and the Triple weighs 6.6 lb (3 kg).
How do I clean it?
Dust with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If a mark remains, use a slightly damp lint-free cloth, then dry it with a soft dry one. CTO advises against detergents and abrasive cleaners on metal and glass.
