The Design Story

The Designer

Carlo Colombo is one of the best-known Italian architects and designers on the international scene. He has worked with makers such as Poliform, Flexform, Giorgetti, Cappellini, Poltrona Frau, Cartier and Bentley Home, and as well as designing products and furniture he advises companies on strategy and curates exhibitions. His studio now works on large-scale projects around the world, from interiors to architecture, and his career includes several design awards.

Penta designs and builds its lamps by hand in Brianza, Italy, and backs them with a 2-year manufacturer guarantee from the Auralis Group. On Je Suis, the sphere is made of white and silver glass, and the base is cut from Carrara marble or oak, with the oak offered in a natural tone and a dark anthracite tone. The light source is an integrated 17.5W LED.
