Hito, a wall light that raises a glass
Hito borrows its silhouettes from the bar: the short whisky tumbler, the rounder wine glass and the conical martini. Turned upside down against the wall or ceiling, they become quiet, repeatable forms with light spilling from within.
Each is finished in either Matte White or Anodized Gold and lit by a built-in 3000K LED, so the glow stays warm and the profile stays clean.
The designer and the story
Hito is part of the Minimal Design Series from Viso Design Studio, the in-house team at the company Filipe Lisboa founded in 1999. Viso explains that the collection is inspired by the glassware profiles of particular drinks, from martinis to wine.

Where it works
A row down a corridor, a pair above a banquette, a cluster of mixed sizes on a feature wall, or along a bar front. Hito also works on a low ceiling where a pendant would not fit.
Who this is not for
Hito is accent lighting with an integrated source, so it is not for reading, and the LED cannot be swapped for another lamp type.

What inspired Hito's shapes?
Viso says the Hito collection is inspired by glassware profiles, from martinis and old fashioneds to wine glasses. The three sizes correspond to whisky, wine and martini glasses.
What is Hito made of?
Viso lists a metal fixture in Matte White or Anodized Gold. The spec sheet linked above gives the details for each size.
What does the light feel like?
The integrated LED is 3000K with RA80+, a warm white, at about 440 lm. It gives a soft wash around each fixture rather than a spotlight.
How do the finishes read in a room?
Matte White melts into painted walls and plaster, while Anodized Gold gives a warm metallic line that suits dark walls, timber and brass.
How should I care for it?
Our advice: switch it off, let it cool and wipe with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Viso does not publish care instructions for Hito.
What should I check before ordering?
Pick the size and finish, confirm the mounting surface (wall or ceiling) and match your dimmer to Triac or ELV.
