ET2 Hemisphere LED Dome Pendant Light

Hemisphere is a half-sphere of spun aluminum that hangs from a single black cord. The outside is a deep gloss, the inside is hammered and polished, and the whole thing reads as a bowl turned upside down: simple from across the room, richly textured when you look up.

Four sizes (9, 14, 24 and 31 in) share one profile. Choose Gloss Black or Gloss White with a silver aluminum interior, or Gloss Black with a gold interior in the 14 and 31 in sizes.

The Design Story

ET2 Contemporary Lighting works out of California and has spent more than 45 years on hard-edged, well-finished fixtures. Hemisphere is built from double-thick aluminum, with the interior hammered and polished so the metal itself multiplies the light, and a high-polish enamel outside for a clean reflective surface.

Made for Real Life

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match, and the board can be replaced if it ever needs service. We suggest a dry microfiber cloth for the gloss and no spray cleaners.

Which Hemisphere size fits which spot?

The 9 in dome is a small accent, good for a nook or a row of three over a counter. The 14 in suits a bedside or a small table, the 24 in handles a dining table or a stair landing, and the 31 in is the statement size for an island or a double-height entry.

How long is the cord, and can I set the hanging height?

Cord length is 120 in on the 9, 14 and 24 in sizes and 168 in on the 31 in, which gives a maximum overall height of 126 to 136 in. The shortest hang runs from 6.5 in to 18.5 in depending on size, so it works over a low table as well as in a tall stairwell.

How much light does it give?

Delivered output is 480, 720, 960 and 1440 lumens from smallest to largest, at 3000K warm white with CRI 90. The hammered aluminum interior bounces the light down, so the dome feels brighter than the raw number suggests.

Will my dimmer work with it?

The 9 and 14 in sizes dim on ELV or Triac controls. The 24 and 31 in sizes accept Triac, ELV and 0-10V. Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.

Can the LED be replaced?

Yes. The LED board is replaceable and rated for 50,000 hours, so the fixture can be serviced instead of thrown away.

Can I hang it in a bathroom or on a sloped ceiling?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. The canopy suits sloped ceilings up to 30 degrees, and ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
