Hang Out is a slim linear wall light that carries its own decoration, designed in 2019 for Penta by BrogliatoTraverso.
The large wall lamp comes in Matt White or Matt Black, with a choice of 3000K or 2700K light.
The Design Story
Penta designs and makes its lamps by hand in Brianza, Italy. The Hang Out wall lamp is a slim bar of light, 41.7 in (106 cm) long, that works like a headboard light or a hallway line. Round or oval decorative panels in lacquered MDF, fabric or ash wood can be composed around it, so the same lamp can look graphic, soft or warm. Penta describes it as decorative freedom that becomes architecture. The panels are separate Penta items, so please ask us if you would like to add them.
The Designers
Alberto Brogliato and Federico Traverso founded their design studio, BrogliatoTraverso, in 2014 after studying architecture and deepening their knowledge of glass blowing and traditional Japanese ceramics. Their motto is “No time, no space”: objects with a timeless design that adapt to different contexts. They have worked with Magis, Cappellini, Guzzini and Infiniti, and have won the Red Dot Design Award, the German Design Award, the iF Design Award and the Good Design Award.

How It Was Made

Why You’ll Love It
Hang Out turns a wall into a long, calm line of light, and lets you decide how decorative it should be. The bar is slim, 3.7 in (9.4 cm) deep from the wall, and the 65W LED puts out up to 1561 lumens with smooth 0-10V dimming.
Made for Real Life
The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or change. Penta’s care instructions are linked above. Your electrician will need a 0-10V dimmer to match, and we are happy to confirm the right installation sheet for 110V before you order.
