Hang Out is a slim linear pendant that carries its own decoration, designed in 2019 for Penta by BrogliatoTraverso.
The single suspension comes in Matt White or Matt Black, with a choice of 3000K or 2700K light.
The Design Story
Penta designs and makes its lamps by hand in Brianza, Italy. Hang Out starts with a slim bar of light, 41.7 in (106 cm) long. Around that bar, round or oval decorative panels in lacquered MDF, fabric or ash wood can be composed freely, so the same lamp can look graphic, soft or warm. Penta describes it as decorative freedom that becomes architecture. The panels are separate Penta items, so please ask us if you would like to add them.
The Designers
Alberto Brogliato and Federico Traverso founded their design studio, BrogliatoTraverso, in 2014 after studying architecture and deepening their knowledge of glass blowing and traditional Japanese ceramics. Their motto is “No time, no space”: objects with a timeless design that adapt to different contexts. They have worked with Magis, Cappellini, Guzzini and Infiniti, and have won the Red Dot Design Award, the German Design Award, the iF Design Award and the Good Design Award.

Penta designs and builds its lamps by hand in Brianza, Italy, and backs them with a 2-year manufacturer guarantee from the Auralis Group. Hang Out’s light bar uses an integrated 60W LED and is made to be dimmed with a 0-10V dimmer.

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or change. The hanging height is adjustable up to 118.1 in (300 cm). Penta’s 110V installation sheets and care instructions are linked above, and your electrician will need a 0-10V dimmer to match.

The light bar is 41.7 in (106 cm) long, 1.9 in (4.8 cm) wide and 1 in (2.5 cm) deep. It can hang as high as 118.1 in (300 cm) from the ceiling.
Should I choose 3000K or 2700K for Hang Out?
Both are warm white. 3000K gives a slightly clearer light, while 2700K is softer and more golden. Pick 2700K for dining and lounge spaces, or 3000K for kitchens and work areas.
Can Hang Out be dimmed?
Yes. Hang Out is made for 0-10V dimming, and Penta’s 110V installation sheets are linked on this page.
Does the price include the decorative panels?
No. The price is for the single suspension light bar. Penta’s round and oval decorative panels, in lacquered MDF, fabric or ash wood, are separate items, so please contact us if you want to add them.
Can I replace the bulb in a Hang Out pendant?
The 60W LED is integrated into the lamp, so there is no bulb to buy or match.
