The Design Story
Oluce, founded in Milan in 1945, builds Dancing Glass around a single cylindrical glass element, a more intimate and minimal take on the pendant’s sculptural form. Its reflector can be aimed on its own, and the glass catches light and shadow whether the lamp is on or off. Victor Vasilev designed it as a quieter companion to the suspension version, built around one simple gesture rather than many.
The Designer
Victor Vasilev was born in 1974 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and moved to Israel with his family at age 15. He studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, and started his own Milan-based practice in 2004. He has designed for Boffi, Living Divani, MDF Italia, Antrax IT and Falper, and his work for Oluce includes Dancing Queen and SuperLuna, the latter a 2018 German Design Award winner.

How It Was Made
Dancing Glass is made in Italy from blown and shaped glass, metal and an integrated LED source, with a single orientable reflector built into its cylindrical form.
