Contour Wall Light by CTO Lighting

Contour is a tall wall light of textured kiln glass in antique bronze, designed by Dan Yeffet for CTO Lighting of London. It stands 29.5 in high and throws a soft, textured glow up and down the wall.

It comes in 2 finishes: Antique Bronze with Bronze Kiln Glass or with Clear Kiln Glass.

The Design Story

Contour is a study in texture, materiality and light. Dan Yeffet took his cue from the organic lines of tree bark and layered irregular cast glass over patinated metal, so the lit glass throws a dramatic play of shadow and illumination. The raw elegance of nature is reinterpreted in a refined, architectural form.

The Story of CTO Lighting

Chris and Clare Turner founded CTO Lighting in London in 1998 on one principle: design lights of uncompromising quality, using only the finest materials and working with elite British craftsmen. Chris is an engineer who designs and builds with meticulous detail, and Clare brings the eye of fashion. Together they built a name for understated luxury in hand-finished brass, mouth-blown glass and artisan-cut stone, and the collection has gone on to light The Savoy, The Dorchester, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Chiltern Firehouse.

How It Was Made

CTO assembles every light to order. The glass is cast in irregular, textured kiln-glass panels and framed in antique bronze with its natural patina. An integrated LED lights the glass from within.

The Finishes

Antique Bronze. Rich, deep tones with a natural patina. Each fixture shows the character of the material and the hand of the British artisans who finish it.

Bronze Kiln Glass. The same irregular, bark-like cast glass in a bronze tint, which gives the light a warmer, deeper tone.

Clear Kiln Glass. Irregular cast glass with a deep, bark-like texture. It stays clear, so it diffuses the light softly while the antique bronze frame shows through.

Dust with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If a mark remains, use a slightly damp lint-free cloth, then dry it with a soft dry one. CTO advises against detergents and abrasive cleaners on metal and glass.
