The Chrona Brass Table Lamp sets the collection's glowing brass dish on a desk, nightstand or sideboard. A 10 in (24 cm) round of spun brass holds a diffused acrylic face that glows softly, like the halo around a star, and a knob switches it on and dims it. Designed in Seattle by Graypants.
Each lamp is made to order in about 2 weeks.
The Design Story
Graypants describes Chrona as light with the quality of the phosphorescent envelope that surrounds stars. As a table lamp, that idea becomes a luminous brass disc standing about 10 in (23 cm) tall.
Graypants was founded in Seattle by architects Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker, with studios in Seattle and Amsterdam. Chrona pendants have been used at the Plum Bistro on Capitol Hill in Seattle and in the reception of the Sobec Camping resort in Slovenia.
How It Is Made
The body is spun brass, formed by pressing sheet metal over a rotating form. A diffused acrylic face spreads the LED light evenly with no visible hot spot, and the brass is left to age naturally.
A knob on the lamp powers it on and adjusts the brightness, so there is no separate dimmer to install. The 300 lumen output suits ambient and task lighting alike.
Why You'll Love It
It plugs in, so it moves with you from desk to bedside to sideboard. The cord is 185 cm long, enough to reach an outlet from most surfaces.
Brass is a living finish: it warms and darkens with handling, and a little polish and wax brings the shine back.
Care and Placement
Brass will tarnish over time. Use a polishing cloth to remove tarnish, seal with wax as needed, and avoid aggressive detergents. Place the lamp on a stable surface and keep it out of direct sunlight. It is fire retardant and rated for dry locations.

Handmade for You
Each Chrona table lamp is made to order, which is why every order is final sale. We are glad to answer questions about placement or pairing it with the Chrona pendants and sconce before you commit, because you are commissioning a brass lamp built for you rather than picking one off a shelf.
Graypants builds its lighting to be affordable for designer work yet made to last, and the Chrona table lamp carries that idea in solid brass.
Not the Right Fit If
The Chrona Table Lamp is made to order, so it is not for projects that need a lamp within days. It is rated for dry locations only, and brass tarnishes naturally, so it is not for anyone who wants a maintenance-free finish.
Questions We Hear Most
How big is the Chrona table lamp?
It is a 10 in (24 cm) round and 10 in (23 cm) tall, and it weighs 3.5 lb.
How do I turn it on and dim it?
A knob on the lamp switches it on and adjusts the brightness, so no separate dimmer is needed.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy. The lamp produces 300 lumens.
Will the brass tarnish?
Yes, brass darkens naturally over time. Polish it and finish with wax to restore the shine, or leave it to develop its own patina.
How long will it take to arrive?
The Chrona Brass Table Lamp is made to order, with a lead time of about 2 weeks.
Can I use it outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. Chrona is rated for dry locations only and belongs indoors in dry spaces such as bedrooms, offices and living rooms.
Does it match the Chrona pendants and sconce?
Yes. It uses the same spun brass and diffused acrylic, so you can combine the table lamp with the pendants and sconce in one room.
Why We Love It
The Chrona Table Lamp is a small brass moon you can move around the house: a soft, dimmable glow wherever you need one.
