The Chrona Brass Sconce takes the collection's glowing brass dish to the wall. A 10 in (24 cm) round of spun brass holds a diffused acrylic face that lights softly, like the halo around a star, and it stays only 3 in (7.6 cm) deep. Designed in Seattle by Graypants.

The Design Story
Graypants describes Chrona as light with the quality of the phosphorescent envelope that surrounds stars. On the wall, that idea becomes a quiet disc of brass and glow that works as jewelry for a hallway, a bedside or a dining room wall.
Graypants was founded in Seattle by architects Seth Grizzle and Jonathan Junker, with studios in Seattle and Amsterdam. The Chrona pendants have lit the Plum Bistro on Capitol Hill in Seattle and the reception of the Sobec Camping resort in Slovenia.
How It Is Made
The body is spun brass, formed by pressing sheet metal over a rotating form, and the face is a diffused acrylic panel that evens out the light from the LED. Brass is left to age naturally: it will tarnish over time, so use a polishing cloth to remove tarnish, seal with wax as needed, and avoid aggressive detergents.
The light is 2700K warm white with a CRI of 90, and the 300 lumen output is gentle enough for ambient or accent lighting. A 25W driver accepts 110 to 277V and dims with a 0-10V dimmer down to 10%. The fixture is UL certified, fire retardant and rated for dry locations.
