Briggs, a pane of opal glass in a champagne frame
Briggs is a flat ceiling light built from simple geometry: a frosted white opal glass panel set into a plated frame in a soft champagne finish. The frame catches the light at its edge, and the panel glows evenly within.
Four sizes, three rectangles and a square, let it fit anywhere from a narrow corridor to a square lobby.
The designer and the story
Briggs was designed by Viso Design Studio, the in-house team at the company Filipe Lisboa founded in 1999. Viso also sells Briggs as a four- or seven-pendant cluster.

Where it works
Down a hallway, in an entry, over a kitchen island in a row, or in a small bath where the ceiling is too low for a pendant.
Who this is not for
Briggs is a quiet flush fixture with an integrated LED. It is not for those who want visible texture or ornament.
Questions, answered
What is the idea behind Briggs?
A restrained geometric ceiling light: an opal glass diffuser framed in champagne, available as a single fixture or in clusters.
What is it made of?
Plated metal in a champagne finish and a frosted white opal glass diffuser.
What does the light feel like?
A soft, even 3000K glow across the opal glass, without hotspots.
How do I use several together?
A row of identical Briggs lights creates a rhythmic line down a hall. Mix a square with rectangles for variety.
How should I clean it?
Our advice: let it cool and wipe with a soft cloth. Viso does not publish care instructions for Briggs.
What should I check before ordering?
The shape and size, the ceiling junction box position, and your dimmer type.
For commercial clients: Viso takes large-quantity Briggs orders by inquiry only. Send us your quantities and we will request a quote for your project.
