Pablo Pardo
Raised among artists and engineers in Venezuela, Pablo Pardo builds lights that are sparse, useful and quietly clever. He opened his San Francisco studio in 1993 and still leads it; his work has collected honors from ICFF, NeoCon, Interior Design, Red Dot and the German Design Award, and a piece of his sits in the SFMOMA collection.
The Design Story
Pablo Pardo founded Pablo Designs in San Francisco in 1993 to create light that fosters harmony between people and their spaces. Bel Occhio, “beautiful eye” in Italian, is a study in weightlessness and transparency: a clear acrylic sphere with an inner column of light suspended freely inside, white or orange, giving both a soft ambient glow and a focused beam.
