The Design Story
ET2 describes the frame as die cast aluminum housing a niche of stainless steel corrugated panels in a Gold finish. Two strips of dedicated LED light the washboard shape, and the light reflects off the Gold tone for a warmer ambient glow. All three sizes are 6.5 inches wide.
Why You’ll Love It
The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to replace or match. Output steps up with size, from 300 lumens on the small to 470 on the medium and 600 on the large, all at 3000K with a CRI of 90, and all three are dimmable.
Made for Real Life
The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match. Wipe the finish with a soft damp cloth and skip abrasive or solvent cleaners.
Putting It Together
ET2 posts an assembly sheet for each version: Small (PDF), Medium (PDF) and Large (PDF). ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.

Where It Shines
Beside a front door, along a garage wall or at the end of a patio wall, where an indirect glow off the panel is enough. Pick the size from the wall you are lighting, and use a pair when the entry is wide.
Questions We Hear Most
Is the Alcove light direct or indirect?
ET2 lists the light direction as indirect. The LED strips are set within the frame and light the gold corrugated panel, which reflects a warmer glow outward. ET2 lists the Alcove as Dark Sky compliant and ADA compliant on all three sizes.
How big is the Alcove, and how far does it project?
Heights run from 10 to 20 in and the width is 6.5 in on every version. Projection from the wall is 2.5 in. The Choose Your Version table above lists each size.
How much light does the Alcove give?
Delivered output in lumens is 300 (Small), 470 (Medium), 600 (Large), with a color temperature of 3000K and CRI 90.
Which way can the Alcove be mounted?
ET2 lists the mounting orientation as facing down. The light direction is listed as indirect, glow reflected from the wall. Confirm the orientation you want against the product details before you rough in the box.
Will my dimmer work with it?
Yes, it is a dimmable fixture. Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.
Can the LED in the Alcove be replaced?
The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source with a rated life of 35,000 hours.
Where can I install the Alcove?
It is wet rated, so it can be installed outdoors where rain and spray reach it, as well as in covered or indoor spaces. ET2 lists it as ADA compliant. ET2 lists it as Dark Sky compliant. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
Why We Love It
It gives an exterior wall a textured gold panel that glows softly, in a fixture that is rated for wet locations.
