Enoki is a wall sconce that pairs a metal sheet with a protruding half-dome, designed in 2017 for Penta by Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri.
It comes in 5 matt finishes: White, Gold, Black, Bronze and Titanium, with a dimmable 3000K LED.
The Design Story
Penta designs and makes its lamps by hand in Brianza, Italy. Enoki takes its shapes from art deco: a flat metal sheet and a half-dome that stands out from it. The light slips out from under the dome, soft and diffused, and the wall behind the lamp acts as an indirect reflector. Penta describes the result as the splendour of art deco.
The Designers

Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri founded their design studio in 2010. They work between Bolzano and Verona on product design, and sometimes on exhibitions and design strategy for companies. Their work grows from a steady dialogue about space, culture and behavior, and from experiments with materials and processes that connect manufacture and craftsmanship. They have designed for Antoniolupi, Lema, Ligne Roset, Normann Copenhagen, Stelton and Penta, among others, and many of their projects have won international design awards.

Why You’ll Love It
Enoki hides its light source. You see a calm dome and a clean sheet, and the glow appears around them, washing the wall. Five matt finishes let it disappear into a wall or stand out against it, from white and titanium to gold and bronze. The 10W LED is dimmable, has a CRI of 90 and puts out 469 lumens at 3000K.
Made for Real Life
The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or change. The sconce is compact, 6.7 in (17 cm) wide and tall with a 3.5 in (9 cm) projection, so it fits narrow walls and tight halls. It is made to be dimmed with a phase-cut (trailing edge) dimmer, and Penta’s 110V installation sheet and care instructions are linked above.

Where It Shines
Use Enoki beside a bed, along a hallway, in a stair landing or in a bath. A pair or a row on a long wall reads as a rhythm of domes. It suits art deco, modern and Italian-design interiors, and it works in hotels and restaurants as well as homes.
