Brad Ascalon’s work is reductive and rational, a search for the right balance of form, function and idea. The New York designer counts Design Within Reach, Ligne Roset and Restoration Hardware among his clients, and has shown work from Milan to Moscow.
The Design Story
Belmont was designed for Pablo by Brad Ascalon, whose multidisciplinary Manhattan studio, founded in 2006, takes a reductive approach: design that is uncomplicated, rational and balanced between form, function and concept. Belmont’s iconic raceway-shaped shade re-envisions the traditional fabric shade lamp with the warmth of handcrafted furniture. It is lined with premium felted wool or woven white fabric, a natural canvas for beautiful textiles, and finished with solid oak details.

Made for Real Life
Hardwired with a field-cuttable cord, so you can set the hang height on site, and fully dimmable on TRIAC/ELV dimmers (DALI on request from Pablo). It uses two 15 W A19 LED bulbs. Have a licensed electrician install it.

The spec sheet lists 2700K warm white and no color-temperature selector. Contact us if you need a different color temperature before ordering.
Who is it not for
Anyone who wants a plug-in light: it is hardwired and needs an electrician. Pablo lists no damp or wet rating, so keep it indoors.
