Pablo Studio is a tight-knit San Francisco team that picks one idea, refines it and strips it down to its essence. Their goal: objects that feel personal and a little surprising every time you use them.
The Design Story
Pablo Pardo founded Pablo Designs in San Francisco in 1993, and Contour shows the studio’s talent for reinventing a familiar object. Instead of a shade around a bulb, Contour is an open frame of remarkably slender formed aluminum with LEDs set flush into its inner edge. Light washes vertically across a lining of hardwood or woven fabric, and you can see straight through the lamp to the room beyond. It is a lamp, a frame for the view and a small shelf for your things all at once.
