The Queen Pendant XL, Gold & Rust, by Mammalampa — a three-foot dome of rust and gold that turns a lobby into a landmark.
The largest Queen: 35.4 inches across, three lights, made for grand rooms and high ceilings.
The Design Story
The Queen pairs the humblest face of metal with the most precious one. Outside, raw steel is left to corrode, and nature draws its own unpredictable patterns in the rust; inside, the dome is gilded by hand with 23.75-carat gold leaf from Manetti, the Florentine goldbeaters. Ieva Kalēja kept the form a pure half-sphere so the two surfaces speak for themselves.
Ieva Kalēja, the Riga designer behind Mammalampa, was named by Elle Decor in 2020 among the ten most talented women designers in the world, as reported by FOLD magazine, and in 2026 she leads the product-design jury of Latvia’s National Design Award.
Why You’ll Love It
At this size the gold interior becomes a glowing room within the room. It is the kind of light hotels and restaurants build a space around, and in a double-height home it is unforgettable.
Made for Real Life
It needs a ceiling support for 50.7 lb and a licensed electrician; the cord runs up to 110 inches. It takes three E26 LED bulbs up to 50W each and ships by truck freight. Pairs beautifully with the The Queen grand pendant, The Queen pendant and The Queen floor lamp.

Questions We Hear Most
What ceiling height suits the XL Queen?
Generally 10 ft and up, leaving room for the 17.7" dome and the suspension (our advice).
Is the XL Queen for homes or hospitality?
Both, though Mammalampa designed it with large interiors, lobbies and restaurants in mind.
Does the XL Queen arrive assembled?
It ships crated by freight; your installer fits the canopy and suspension.
Is the gold inside the XL Queen real?
Yes, 23.75-carat gold leaf by Manetti, applied by hand.
Will every XL Queen look the same?
No, the rust pattern is unique to each lamp.
Why does my The Queen statement pendant take about 55 days?
Mammalampa makes each lamp by hand in Latvia after it is ordered, so yours is made for you rather than pulled from a shelf.

Why We Love It
Pure presence: rust, gold and nearly three feet of glow. Mammalampa is a family studio in Riga, Latvia, built around one idea: start with a real material, do as little to it as possible, and let light reveal it. Every lamp is made by hand, which is why no two are ever quite the same.
