Nothing to relamp: the light source is built in. A soft, dry cloth keeps the metalwork clean. The cables can be cut on site to the exact drop you want. Pair it with an LED-compatible ELV or TRIAC dimmer to go from bright to candle-soft.

A linear piece looks right when it is shorter than the table it lights. For the Balto:

What is the idea behind the Balto?
Visual Comfort designed it so that it weaves lines of light into a floating triangle. It belongs to Visual Comfort's Balto family.
Which Balto finish works with my palette?
Our take: brass brings warmth to wood and earthy tones.
Can the Balto be the only light in the room?
In most rooms, yes. It gives 2,969 lumens at 90 CRI, and with a compatible dimmer you can take it from bright to atmospheric.
How long should my table be for the Balto?
Choose a table of about 48″ or longer so the 35.9″ fixture sits comfortably inside the ends.
Will the Balto work outside under a roof?
Yes. Visual Comfort rates it for damp interiors and outdoor spaces under cover, so a loggia or covered patio is fine; keep it out of direct rain.
Will I ever change a bulb in the Balto?
There are no bulbs. The light comes from built-in LED modules with a 50,000-hour L70 rating, fitted at the factory.
How is the Balto hung?
It is cable suspended; in the box: 10 ft of cable. Sloped ceilings up to 45°. A licensed electrician should install it.
How soon can the Balto arrive?
All the versions we offer are in stock right now, and in-stock pieces usually leave within 2–3 business days.
